Queenstown Arterial
A project was initiated with the primary objective of rerouting traffic and optimizing traffic patterns in Queenstown.
Stewart Civil played a pivotal role in the execution of Zones 3 and 4 projects, which encompassed the installation of an extensive stormwater system spanning over 2000 meters. This system featured various pipe sizes, ranging from 900mm PKs and 600mm Concrete to UPVC pipes ranging from 475mm to 225mm, as well as 770 meters of 450mm Trunk pipes. Notably, all water pressure testing and chlorination processes were conducted in-house by the Stewart Civil team.
In addition to the stormwater infrastructure improvements, our team successfully upgraded the sewer system within the project area, replacing a total of 757 meters of sewer pipes, some of which reached depths of up to 6 meters.
In addition to the 3 waters work, Stewart Civil secured the contract for streetscape packages across all four Zones. This encompassed a range of tasks, including road excavations, footpath and kerb preparation, ducting installations, light pole foundation work, and the installation of small retaining walls. The culmination of these efforts resulted in a highly successful project, underscoring the outstanding contributions of our 3 Waters team.
