Founded
in 2010

Stewart Civil Ltd was founded by Neil and Brad Stewart and incorporated in 2010 as ‘Drainman’. Prior to becoming established in New Zealand, Neil had worked extensively in the UK, Europe, and the United States. Initially the business was streamlined to provide works in drainage exclusively, but as our reputation grew for knowledgeable, experienced and reliable work, so did demand for works in other areas.
To reflect the wider scope of services of civil works we provide throughout the South and North Island today, we have evolved into Stewart Civil. Working closely with our clients to meet programme and achieve cost effective solutions.
As Stewart Civil we consist of a large diverse team, and you can find us undertaking multiple projects, large and small, at any one time throughout the South Island. We’re always willing to expand our team so we are on the lookout for Staff who would like an opportunity to up-skill or refine their skills by joining the Stewart Civil team. If this sounds like you, please feel welcome to contact us today.
Neil and Brad Stewart remain at the helm of the business and who’s reputations are the driving force behind the consistently high demand of work we undertake from City Councils and tier one Companies such as Fulton Hogan and various other alliances. It is through their determination and leadership, as well as our dedicated team of managers and Staff, that we have maintained both the highest standards in every project we undertake, and our reputation for reliability. Neil himself describes Stewart Civil as being "a very diverse, forward-thinking company with vast experience and expertise in a wide range of fields; including roading and three waters.”
